Sunday

man cannot live on pizza bagels alone

Is that true? I'd be willing to try. After making homemade pizza on Friday night, there was some pepperoni that sobrated. I aproveched it tonight along with some spaghetti sauce and provolone sandwich cheese to make pizza bagels. I'm like the McGyver of the kitchen. The bagels were very sabrotious. I may have them again tomorrow.

Tomorrow is a big day for us: cinco de mayo. It will be a day full of fiestas, dancing, pinatas and mountains of tacos (crunchy and soft). We'll probably be up late tonight preparing our shawls and sombreros and practicing cielito lindo.

I'm tempted to leave the previous paragraph as is, but I fear many would not pick up on the sarcasm. We live in Costa Rica. Costa Rica is not Mexico. Cinco de Mayo is a Mexican holiday (and probably more of a U.S. holiday). In fact, many of our students have never heard of cinco de mayo. Well, they've heard of cinco de mayo; its the day after cuatro de mayo . . . but not much more.

This week is exam week. We have a normal day tomorrow, and then the testing begins Tuesday. There are several 7th graders who need to do well on the Science and English tests. I esperate that they are studying now.

Here are a few recently grabated demos:
