Monday

a dream, Hat Stanley, an agressive plant and some music

There was a big football game on Friday night. East Canton was playing against Louisville. I guess I was in High School because I was playing . . . well, I was supposed to be playing. I kinda missed the game. I was at some convenience store in Sugarcreek, buying a slushie when I realized that the game was about to start. Uncle Mike and some other guy came in and told me. I was confused as to why they weren't at the game, but I imagine they were more confused about my absence. The next day, I read the paper and saw that Lousiville won by 6 points. East Canton had a chance to score at the end but didn't get into the endzone. I don't know the name of the guy who played QB for me, but I read that he threw for 137 yards. Not bad. Dreams about being back in high school and missing a game (football or baseball) are not uncommon for me. In fact, they probably rank second in total frquency. But they're still far behind the champ - dreams about tornados.

Yesterday, we climbed pico blanco again (the mountain I climbed in December). Robin went this time too. Matt took a bunch of pictures. I'll try to post some of them later. As for now, here are a couple that we took. These are specifically for Jason, Andy and Chad.

On our way down, we saw a bunch of giant plants that looked kinda like this.

As I was walking past one . . . It did this to me . . .

It went right in my ear with pretty good force. I had no idea it was even close. It was quite a shock . . . and a pain. It's still sore today.

Here is a link to a bit of a songwriting project I did during february.
