Rice, beans and a turkey sandwich . . .

. . . doesn't have much to do with this post, but its what I had for dinner.

Its Saturday night, and we're hanging out at home, which we haven't done much of lately. We've been social butterflies the last few days. We had people over or visited someone else's house almost every night this week. Last night, we went over to Kristin and Sarah's house for dinner. Sarah is a missionary from Chicago who has been here for two years but is leaving soon to head back to the U.S. Kristin is a missionary from New Jersey (way better than regular Jersey) who has been here for about six months and is planning to teach here next year as well. They also invited some of their Costa Rican friends from Kristin's church . . . Alejandra, Alvaro and Lauren. The food was great, and we had a lot of fun.

This morning, we went to los Guizaros. It was our first time driving there by ourselves. We almost made it, but we got a little lost and had to call for help. We eventually made it. I took my guitar, but the music was already being sung acapella when we got there. We helped set up and serve lunch. It was a beautiful, sunny morning.

After we got home, we decided to head over to the school to use the pool. Unfortunately when we got to the pool, the sun vanished and it started raining. We swam a bit anyway then returned home.
